Comprehensive Eye Exams
Eye exams are an essential component of overall wellness. During a comprehensive eye exam at Pollack Eye Care, we will assess much more than your visual acuity. We will determine your refractive error, test for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together, and evaluate the health of many structures in the front and back segments of your eyes.
In addition to the thorough evaluation provided to every patient, there are many ancillary tests performed for patients who are found to have certain conditions or risk factors. These include ultrasound and imaging techniques for the cornea, anterior chamber, retina, optic nerve and macula in the eye, and computerized visual field testing to screen and treat glaucoma and other diseases. Additionally, ultrasound imaging and computerized nomograms are combined to provide a detailed, individualized plan for each patient undergoing cataract surgery.
