Our Surgery Center
Ambulatory Surgery Center of WNY
The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York is located at 945 Sweet Home Rd, Buffalo, NY. Dr. Stephen B. Pollack is part owner and a member of the Board of Governors at this state-of-the-art facility.
One of the primary focuses of Pollack Eye Care’s practice is refractive cataract surgery. We place great importance on conducting comprehensive evaluations and providing extensive education to our patients with cataracts. This allows us to develop unique treatment plans tailored to each individual, using state-of-the-art blade-free, laser-assisted techniques and a wide selection of intraocular lens implants. These advanced techniques and lens options are designed to address various vision needs, such as correcting multiple focal points and astigmatism.

Handicapped parking is located in front of the building as well as in the rear of the building. For easiest parking, drive around to the back of the building. There is an entrance in the back with our name clearly marking it.
We will obtain the best, most accurate results on your eye exam if you have removed your contact lenses. Soft contact lenses should be removed (and kept out) for 24 hours before your exam. Gas permeable or hard contact lenses should be removed a week before the exam, if at all possible.
Yes! In fact, we encourage this…two heads are indeed better than one, especially if we are explaining treatment options for surgical or complex medical treatment decisions. If a family member drives you to your exam, we would much rather have them in the exam room with you, instead of sitting in the waiting room or in the car.
If you give us the courtesy of canceling your eye exam up to 24 hours in advance, there is no charge. However, if you cancel at the last minute or simply don’t show up for the exam, we do not have the opportunity to offer your appointment time to another patient. As this is unfair to our practice, our staff and other patients, we have imposed a $50 fee for these missed appointments.
